2007 Game: Rack 'N' Roll

In the game Rack 'N' Roll, the main objective is to place one of three types of tubes ("Ringers", "Keepers", "Spoilers") on the Rack which contains 24 "spider legs" in a tic-tack-toe formation. Each team, one red and one blue, is placed on a three-team alliance, so there are a total of six robots on the field at once.

In Rack 'N' Roll there are two scoring periods; the first time period is at the beginning for 15 seconds called the "Autonomous Mode". In the "Autonomous" period, the robot can place a "Keeper" on the rack and during the game, that "Keeper" can not be removed or "Spoiled". In order for the robot to detect where to place the "Keepers", a color vision tracking system is used. The second scoring period, which is two minutes long, the robots place "Ringers" to earn points on the rack and "Spoilers" to cancel the other team's points out. You earn points by placing the "Ringers" in consecutive columns or rows. Each team can earn more points by, at the end of the match, being lifted 4" or more inches off the ground by another robot.
