Community Outreach: Alex, Chelsea, Ria, and Mary helped with Jr. FLL on Wednesday after school. The kids are so much fun to interact with.
Special Events: Practice Day was this weekend! It was amazing. 16 teams came to our school on Saturday morning out of the 20 teams that RSVP-ed. Thanks to our field build team, our parents and mentors, the help of Team 295 from Granite Bay, and Bill Clark from Tri Tool (one of our sponsors) we had a full size field set up in our gym. Seven robots, including ours, made it to the practice field that day. There was some excitement when a robot started to smoke during a match, but overall the robots performed well and the teams were able to practice for our upcoming competitions.
Build: WE FINISHED BUILDING THE ROBOT! We got Zygy to run around the field on Practice Day.
Field Build: Jasmine, Christine, Gretchen, and Ria painted the bridge on Tuesday. Friday night was a busy night because the Fembots, with the help from Granite Bay High School robotics team, made assembling the field for Practice Day easier.
Programming: Dani, Chelsea, Alex, Catie, and Ty updated the codes for driver, shooter, tippy tipper and camera software. Coding is the best.
Media: The website team submitted the website award on Tuesday. Wish us luck! Jane and Zaire measured Zygy to print out stickers of our lovely sponsors to put on our robot for everyone to see. We’ll get that done ASAP.
Organization: Meagan submitted the essay portion for Chairman’s Award on Wednesday, the day before the deadline. Liz has been working on the Chairman’s video all week and she’s halfway done with editing.
Business: Shelly and Gretchen organized the food orders for all the teams that attended Practice Day.
